A videorecording of two lectures given by poet Allen Ginsberg, a leading figure of the Beat Generation, on September 24, 1984, . The first was held in the afternoon in the Life Sciences Auditorium, consisting of a class on William Blake and the singing of Blake's Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience. The second session was held in the Goodwin Theater. Ginsberg reads/sings selections from his works including: Capitol Air, Hum Bom, In Society, Marijuana Notation, Sunflower Sutra, America, Kaddish (rev. version), September on Jessore Road, Homework, and Birdbrain
